    m42 exhaust questions

So my center pipe/dynomax muffler combination shat the bed after only a year so I need to redo my exhaust system again. Ive been looking around BavAuto (theyre only ten minutes from my house) and it looks like I can get all the parts needed for around 275 bucks (bavarian part numbers 318 EIK E30 M42 & 18 10 1 723 240). This included a full cat back single piece muffler/center pipe and a hardware installation kit.

My questions are simple. How hard is it to install an exhaust myself? I dont know how to weld, will this be an issue? Anyone know the quality, Im assuming its relatively decent given Bavarian's reputation, albeit probably a bit more expensive than other company's. I dont feel like dropping 800 bucks on a supersprint. Thanks for the input guys.

does the bav auto have a flange on the end? Most catbacks you don't have to weld on. You could always take it to a muffler shop if it did need to be welded on. But no exhaust work is easy. I built mine back to the rear subframe and then just let a muffler shop finish it off cause I didn't have time to finish it myself.

Its a one piece system from the cat back, muffler and all so I think that would really help things along. Otherwise Im hoping it just bolts onto the cat and then I just need some hangers. Ill give them a call on Monday and see whats up.

well if you come to NC I'll weld up anything for you although I don't think that would be a cost effective trip even if I did it for free ;)
