    Stock exhaust is very loud

Put a new rebuilt head on a 87 325i and the exhaust is very loud. I never heard it before so I'm not sure if it was like this or not. Only 104k miles and always a California car. No rust, holes or leaks that I can see.

Is this normal for these old e30's? Should I try another stock exhaust?

Make sure everything is as it should be. ie. no leaks, no holes, etc.

Yea the condensation you seem coming out your exhaust in the morning is a biproduct of the combustion and is actually acidic, so if it lurks in your muffler it will rot the bottom of it. It happened to mine through the 18 years of its life, and i actually get a lot of compliments about the tone of it. I love it.
