Be alot less of a headache to buy one. They range between $25-$50.

Burns Stainless. I almost feel bad putting it on the car. It's a work of art. Installation will happen tomorrow.

I can't remember, but it certainly isn't the most cost-effective part available. Burns charges by the weld, cut, etc. Call them up with exactly what you want them to fabricate.

If you don't want to spend the $$$, I'd just use a 2" in, 2.5" out Flowmaster y-pipe. The Magnaflow versions are pretty crude by comparison.

Does the Y-pipe into a single muffler cause a loss in air flow? I want a magnaflow but don't want to add any air restriction.

If you have access to a welder make one yourself. This is the one that my bro made for me. cost 15 bucks for the piping and bends from the muffler shop, thats it

yeah well you pay for superior craftsmanship. When you asked about y pipes, we all assumed you meant good ones. I can make you one out of foil wrapped paper towel tubing into 2 toilet paper tube outlets, for way less than $15.

Look at the welds from the outside of your brothers handy work compared to the inside of the burns piece... seriously. That is some hot shit. I want to make babies with that y pipe.

what tools did he use to measure flow? and... the "how pretty it is" does matter in terms of flow. All of those sexy clean ass seams inside the other one... the don't do those so you don't injure yourself while humping the thing. Also things like the strength of the welds, and material, and weight of the material, are all factors in bang for buck for components like that.

There is absolutely no comparison between the two. Yours is a piece that crudely serves the purpose of filling in the space and making the needed connection, theirs is a precision crafted work of art. Not bashing, whatever gets the job done. But don't think for a second the two compare.
