I am planning to order a stock muffler for my 89 convertible from RMEuropean.com for $208. Problem is they stock 2 versions of the upper strap, rubber hanger, and cat-to-muffler gasket (42mm and 45 mm). All of these are listed for my year/model, so I take it that several versions were installed depending on year, production run, etc.
Unless somebody has a smarter idea, I was just going to order both versions of everything - still much cheaper than having a Las Vegas exhaust shop touch it.
Advice? BTW I wouldn't mind a custom exhaust, but wouldn't that be a lot more money than just replacing the stock unit?
