I think your talking cosmetics - you want tips angled to the side (OEM) versus tips straight out like the current (Stromung) version - right?

Scott has done this version, although not for a GB. It is not a total redesign like you want, it is a simple re cut the angle of the tips.

You will probably find very little interest in a custom 3" single inlet set up. All the ones he has made are dual 2 3/4" inlet, so that they are a bolt up to existing E30 325 cat back systems.

It might make a better progression if you buy a car first, do the turbo/stand alone mgmt. install & then look for a custom exhaust fabricator that can meet your needs, not the varied needs of many, that occur running a group buy. Just my .02 cents.

Yeah, I'm really anal about tip fitment as well and it's especially hard on quads since you have to worry about the placement on both sides.

The good thing about this is we can decide on which ever setup we want the moment. If most people are happy with just a cat-back system and want to go with their own headers, cat or test pipe that's fine.

they already make a muffler for e30s, cost like 6-700 dollars though
but ive only heard good things about them, heard they sound beautiful
I actually didn't even know that. I did a quick search and came up with this.

It's not bad, but I'm looking for a 3 inch single cat-back to a dual out. Plus I like the way the factory tips are slanted to the side.

    What do you guys think?

    Stromung Exhaust Interest

Hey guys, I'm still new here but I'll be getting myself into an E30 soon...hopefully by the end of this week. My friend will be helping me a lot with all of the information, and eventually going FI.

I have a pretty good connection with the owner of Stromung, and will eventually get my 3" turbo exhaust built by them. I wanted to see if there is a point of making just a one of for me, or if I should tell him to make a batch of 15.

If there is enough interest, I want to say at least 15 I can definitely work something out. It will be whatever design you guys have in mind, but we will all have to agree on it. Also specify a realistic budget that you have in mind for this setup. Keep in mind most of their similar systems are around $450.

What I have in mind is a 3" tubing, to a 3"inlet, dual 3" slanted tips (325i style). No resonator.

Here is one of the exhaust projects I did work with them on in the past. It was for a 2004-2007 Acura TL-S.
