325 manifold differences

Hey all. Trying to find out what the differences are between the e and i exhaust manifolds. Research here and elsewhere says that they are interchangeable, but I'm curious as to what the actual differences are.

The manifolds are exactly the same. From the flanges back is where the exhaust is changed. On an E, the exhaust continues into a Y from the flanges and continues back through the cat and center muffler with a single pipe. The i exhaust continues the dual piping from the flanges and continues through the cat and center muffler to the rear of the car.
