Sounds like a Subaru?

I just installed a used set of IE shorty headers, and combined with my Eisenmann exhaust, it sounds like a damn Subaru WRX! Anybody else experience anything like this? I just wanted it to sound like a mean E30.:(

Ask me I know, but when it happened to me it was because of faulty spark plugs.

It shouldn't sound like that. Its that simple.

Either you have one or a few faulty spark plugs or you hacf a broken rocker or something

the reason wrx's sound like that is due to to diff lenght headers. Like the others have said if your car sounds like that something is broken.

Houston, we have a problem....

OK, I figured out why it sounds weird. I've just put on a new head after breaking the timing belt (odometer doesn't work) and added the headers as I was putting it back together. So, number one and number three cylinders are not firing, hence it sounds like a suburu. I've got spark at those sparkplugs, and the injectors both have 16.5 ohms. I'm getting battery voltage at the injectors, but still need to check the wiring going back to the ECU. When I pulled the plugs, I noticed a light coating of fresh oil and I could not smell any gas on the plug or coming from the sparkplug hole on the head. I'm leaning/hoping its just clogged injectors, but with my luck its probably something wrong with the rings or the replacement head.:(

Bad Injectors

I swapped out the two injectors from the cylinders that weren't firing. It took me 15 minutes and now the car kicks ass! I swear its faster than before I broke it.:)
