On my 89, i'm pretty sure the converter is breaking apart. Has a nice rattle/broken rocks sound to it when you smack it. Not to mention when driving, certain rpm ranges make it sound buzzy as hell. Not a heatshield, you can hear it inside. Any of you had this happen on your car?
Debating on either taking it off and emptying it, or gutting it or if i feel like throwing money away, replacing it with a new one.
