Square Tips?

Alright, so I need to open up my exhaust and get bigger piping in there. (I'm going cheap for now because I want to play around a bit with the welding). My buddy has found a muffler the a friend of his had on their previous car. The muffler is 2.5" in and square tips out. I'm not worried about what the out is because I can always open it up and make the tips bigger.

Now, my girlfriend and another friend of mine said they liked the square tips. What I planned to do was cut the tips off, and re-weld a different style on, probably something that people don't normally see too much on BMWs. My question is... Does any one have any pictures of square tips on a BMW?

you know what i'm going to pick up a car tomorrow with a similar muffler to that. it's got pretty big tips comin out. i guess the cl ad isn't up anymore cuz i couldn't find it but it sounds pretty nice and i personaly don't mind the look of it it's just a little too chromy for me though i think i might black it out with flat black paint or somethin to make it look a little less gaudy

Cool. Let me know when you get the pictures up. I'm not really TOO worried about hte sound, I figure I can always put a few resonators on it,.

I didn't think the tips were my taste either, but once I get a bit more money I will redo the muffler again. I have other plans.

As far as sound, it sounds soo mean! I got my muffler for free :) Also, my friend did the welding, as I cannot take the credit. But he is an amazing welder. I don't mind the tips as much because it flows a bit with the square body.
