if you have a gt28r rep then why not get the real deal, a garrett gt28r. Heres their website, you can have a look at the compressor and turbine maps and pick what suits best. You'll also have the opportunity to go for a ball bearing centre that way...more performance FTW!

    Garrett Turbos

Glad to see your making great power with a similar build to what im about to embark on. Videos are required!!!

Do you have any idea what the kit is? the side grills are tne million times better black, but still ass if you ask me, the new wheels make up for it though ;)

    GREAT WORK!

Thanks Nando, it was the dwell being way to high. Now the cheap e-bay turbo is leaking oil. I have a gt28r but was hoping I can find a name brand turbo with the same specs as the e-bay one. Any ideas? I would like to keep the down pipe and everything the way it is.

    Here they are.

Consists of a T3 turbine section, (standard, Stage II or Stage III trim) and a T4 compressor section (T04 trim). 2 1/2" V-band outlet.

The turbo offers the low inertia and fast boost response of the light weight T3 Turbine wheel and the high airflow characteristics of the T4 compressor.

    3" Inlet Diameter : 2" outlet

    INTERNAL WASTEGATE

Wet Floating Bush Bearings : 1/8 NPT oil inlet

    T3 Flange : Fits T3 and T3/T4 Manifolds

    Specs:

    . 50 a/r compressor

    .63 a/r turbine

    .57 trim

    Turbine wheel:
    Exducer: 2.48"
    Mayor : 2.89"

    Compressor wheel :
    Exducer: 2.07"
    Mayor : 2.36"

so the high dwell you were running did kill the coil drivers.

    glad to hear it. :)

    Good and tight manifold.
T3/T4 turbo, int. wg set at 9psi, HKS bov
2.5" exhaust system (cat still on)
m20 clutch and lightened flywheel (12lbs)
Dynotech MS PNP, still trying to get it to work.
    4.10 lsd
    fmic, 2.5 piping
Made 185whp on 8psi with a bunch of timing pulled to be safe because we a misfire for some reason. Should make about 240 with the correct tune.
Keeping it at 5psi until we get if working right.
Good to see you got it running, better to be safe on the tune.
