turbo blankets and header wrap are a good way to coke oil in the turbo and trap moisture on the exhaust. I wouldn't want to wrap the downpipe unless the car was seldomly used and/or the exhaust was made of a decent material. I think SS should be okay.google turbo blanket. I mean it gets plenty of airflow through there, short of removing your high beam on that side you can't do much else. I'd think more about keeping the heat in the exhaust than getting cool air to the outside of the turbo, get a turbo blanket and some header wrap for the whole downpipe, should probably help things outLeave a comment:

1) take sharpie, draw on backside of hood what you want gone
2) cut portion out
3)tape off from paintside and paint from the engine side (enough to cover bare metal from cutting it, so it doesn't rust.) i used flat black on a friends mustang.
4)weld quickly whatever wire you want in it to hood. if you do it fast enough it wont mess your paint up to bad.
5) ride around in your e30 stirring up all the ricey srt4's and gsr's.Leave a comment:

Not to nitpick, but that car is pretty badass. I think it's more than a hack job with chicken wire. Oh and it's not an m3 either.
