Hey guys just putting together my oil setup my my turbo setup and have a question. Using the TCD bottom mount kit I dont have to much of a gravity drop for my oil drain, so I am going to drain my oil into a small water manifold we use here at my shop for an oil catch and then pump it out from there using my Turbowerx EXApump. Now my understanding is that this should work, drain is -10 an to a -10 an-3/8 npt adapter (water manifold ports are all tapped 3/8 npt) and then having a -10 an fitting on the bottom going to a -10 an line going to my scavenge pump and then pumping the oil either back to the valve cover or oil pan. My question is do I have to mount the scavenge pump below the drain port on the oil catch manifold or can it be mounted higher and the suction will be enough to draw it out of the oil catch ? I have attached a crappy pic to show what I am talking about.
The blue is the drain from the turbo, the red are ports that are blocked off, the purple are the mounting holes, and the green is the sump connection.
