    lowering compression

does anyone know how much you can lower compression with MLS gaskets. I am currently running 10.5:1 and am starting to get the bug to turbo.

Depends on how thick your HG is, I believe there are diff ranges of thickness .140 .120
.80 .40, not sure if the actual digression is exactly this but you get the idea with .140 being the thickest and .40 being thinnest. BTW I have 524td forged crank w/ 80,000 miles for sale and I rods if you are looking for them.

thanks, the list above is a running motor with only 18 hours on it. I was hoping to get compression down to atleast 9.5 to one, just dont know if possible with just a MLS HG

I've seen guys in the honda forums drop almost an entire point and a half using thick gaskets or stacking gaskets (for copper gaskets). I know my dad ran a stock gasket and a copper gasket on his stock US s50 and he was able to run close to 1 bar with not too much issue.
