My opinion of Miller WAR chip and MAF

Well so far ive been driving a week with this set up.Ive got the WAR chip and maf, 30lb injectors, and using the MS1 base tune on a seta block and a worked 885 head, so basically their ms1 turbo kit but I have a turbonetics t3t4.The car starts up instantly, faster than it did before and idles great even in the cold.Obviously since its the base tune its not at full performance but my car has plenty of power and I still have it at 7 psi.Its great driving around town and able to get on it and have a full range of power. My throttle response and spool time is way faster than it had been originally.Installation was fairly easy just dont forget to splice ecu wires for a 12v signal at your maf like I did.Brody was extremely helpful with all my questions and used team viewer to help me get my base files onto the chip and walked me through the better part of their software while he was at it.Every email I sent with questions was responded to within a couple hours.Over all im very pleased with the product and the service backed by it and would reccomend it to anyone.Ill be getting the final tune done soon and some dyno time with different boost levels to update this thread and show everyone

I'm mulling over the idea and possibility of 4" maf and 42# injectors on an m20 with war chip from Brody, details aren't sorted out yet, beyond them being able to get a remote base tune set up for me, I don't like the idea of draw through MAF as much as if I could do blown through if it was as simple to set up, also I don't love the idea of redoing my intake set up to accomodate the BOV recirculation, and somehow fitting the MAF in front of my turbo, which the compressor inlet sits neatly behind my passenger head lights, and currently breathes through a filter routed to my blank high beam opening in the grill.

Been trying to talk things out with Brody and sort it out, but haven't discussed everything fully as of yet... we'll see if this is doable, I certainly wouldn't mind converting and running the most powerful miller tuned m20... plus my car would look sexy if I did it in Miller W.A.R. themed urban camo vinyl wrap with some of their copper bronze painted wheels hahaha. Brody should sponsor my car :p

It's good to hear positive reviews though, I think they make a fantastic accessible, non-intimidating solution for the masses and I'd like to probe the upper limits of what it can achieve, if we can work something out that suits my needs.

Yeah i wasnt a fan of the draw through MAF either but its really not that bad.My inlet sits right near the light as well so I had a small elbow made and tucked the maf and filter behind my low beam in the corner.I welded a fitting onto my BOV to make it recirculating for the time being but mine was ebay junk anyways from the PO.Id go for it im very happy with their support and im sure you would be as well

Yeah just worried about having a 5" silicone elbow off my compressor inlet to a reducer attached to a piece of 5" pipe to make a 5" to 4" reduction 90* and how its going to perform mounted this way, also how the bov recirculating is going to work... Its a huge blast of charged 18psi air with the vollume of my intake/massive fmic and piping... And a very small area I have to discharge in front of the turbo... Plus ill miss my atmospheric venting :(

But those are my only real concerns, if brody says they can green light 42# injectors and 4" maf on an m20 and remote setup with me, I will go ahead and make the neccessary adjustments to accomodate this. We shall see, still waiting to hear back from him

I went to a exhaust shop and had a small elbow made with a silicone reducer to the maf and my filter off the maf.And you can make the line for your bov as big as you want with the right hardware

Some of the bigger BOVs have interchangeable trumpets that allow you to run it as a bypas valve. Greddy is the most common.
