    CXRacing GT35 Bolt on review..

Was planning on a low boost, stock fuel GT35 bolt on kit from CXRacing.(cheap, looks well made, plenty room to grow)

I'm not planning on making more than 200-250hp(or what ever stock fuel can handle plus A Walbaro255) just to have some fun with all the civics prowling Oahu:p

Any reviews or input as far as fuel goes, and what a good simple tune/DME setup would be(if needed at all) w/o tearing into the wiring portion. Trying to keep it simple-jack w/ minimal worries as car is a DD.

I want to know the quality of their turbochargers whether it's too good to be true with a price tag like that or whether it's decent quality for it's price

Same here, most likely a bootleg turbo. Not to worried as low boost is a must..

Just read "Turbo on Motronic". Pretty much summed it all up.. Still need a thread for the specifics 'n stuff.

So it looks like I'll need #24 injectors+. Anyone have a set?
Also a MAF setup w/ best chip to run it all.

Paypal refilled and ready to go

That's a big turbo for 200-250 whp goals. I just drove an e36 with a real garrett gt35r and it did not get to full boost wil 4k rpm. For the money you could do better. I'd get a revshift manifold and work off of that. If you check out my build thread you can see what being thrifty can get you. I should have another build thread in 2 weeks for my other car.

A buddy of mine has been running a cxracing t3t4. I think he payed like $220 shipped or something. When he got it we looked it over and it actually wasnt that bad. All the bolts were torqued down like they should be and not cheaply put together.Hes had it for almost a year now with not a single issue and it pulls comparatively well to my turbonetics with same specs. All in all I was quite surprised cause I tried to talk him out of it so he gives me crap all the time on how well it still holds up. Hes been running 10psi by the way

Good to hear, was $220 for the kit or just the manifold? I was suprised when u said the fit and finish was quality for a eBay kit!

Also any info on what chip/injector setup he is running or any info would be helpful.

Interesting, its so tempting to go buy the turbo and their manifold but I don't know, do you reckon it could be a fluke him having a decent turbo for peanuts. But saying that these kits have been fitted to cars they race even an e30 pulling decent numbers on the dyno by simply bolting on the kit and running low boost. I need to see another bit of feedback from someone who has tried this kit

That was for just the turbo. He already had everything else. Hes running 24# injectors and a fmu. Real basic setup but does surprisingly well. It could be a fluke but remember just cause its sold on ebay doesnt mean its crap all the time. Theres lots of good companies that sell their product on ebay. Its just another way to market items but unfortunately there is so much junk there its hard to look past that.

A lot of people have had good luck with ebay turbos. From what i hear its a good safety precaution to take it apart and inspect it to make sure their are not metal shards left from machining. For the money i'd say best bang for the buck would be a turbo diesel manifold (notched or with monkey madness' adapter), ebay t3/t4 turbo, have your exhaust shop make you a down pipe, and put the intercooler plumbing together yourself using the cxracing universal kit. This is a recipe that has bet tried and tested.

i think I might give this cx racing turbo a go. I've been ebay for ages and I can't find a t3/4 turbo without breaking the bank. Someone try to convince me out of buying an ebay turbo it sounds so wrong what i'm doing

I would try but ive been very impressed with cx racing ones. Ive seen one from fastway racer that was complete junk and lasted two months. I honestly dont see a problem going with a ebay turbo as long as its from cxracings actual ebay store or their website and you should be ok

I've heard nothing bad about CxRacing's recent stuff. Though I haven't had any firsthand experience with them I have seen a lot of builds with their stuff and the guys have no major complaints. I actually got to look at one of their turbo headers and they look good for the price, material was actually a lot beefier than I expected..

I have not started build 2/3 yet. Basically I'm going to make a couple of plumbing setups useing different manifold options and a couple of turbo I have laying around.
