    holset h1c

    hail to the turbo gods..lol

I have a 86' 325es that i plan on turboing but I'm new to the turbo world. After some research i've decided to go with a Holset seeing that most BMW folks use them and have gotten good results. I've come across what looks like a pretty good deal on one of these turbos brand new on CL. From the ad here's the desc of the turbo:

"It is 3" Compressor inlet, 2.5" Compressor outlet, and 3" V-Band Turbine outlet in a twin-scroll 18.5cm turbine housing. It is the 8 blade compressor wheel version"

I'm going 2.7 stroker. I have a seperate ETA block and "I" head that i will be sending to the machine shop to be cleaned and reassembled with stock internals. I was also considering o-ringing the block w/ a oem head gasket.

power-wise i'm shooting for 260-300whp on low boost and close to 400whp with the boost turnt up. I don't mid a little lag but would like a turbo that provides consistent power/response across the RPM range

Would these turbo specs work for the power i'm trying to attain? Also is anyone still using this turbo and what are your impressions. I know i left out alot but just wanted a little input..

I am using this on my M20 stroker motor that I am currently building. Glad to see someone going a similar route as me!

However, I was in the car with this same exact turbo and motor and I will tell you this fucker pulls nice. 3 people in a car at that, passing some douchemaster Porsche salesman in the process and completely ruining a sale for him. haha.
