add a better fuel pump and now starting issues...HELP!!!

i have a 1988 bmw 325i convertible, i turbocharged it, it only has the 19lb injectors in it so im not running anymore then 7psi at the moment, so just to add a extra free upgrade to my car i figured i would put a new tre performance 340 255 fuel pump in my car,
my prob is that now it take alot of cranking and gas pedal play to get it to fire up, i dont see why a 100psi fuel pump with cause the car to not wanna start so im just curios to know if anyone has any clues on this issue,

    help is appreciated, thanks

Fuel presure regulator? I am no expert in fuel systems so I do t have much to offer. Did you have a FPR before you got a different pump? You might just be running to much fuel presure?...
