    new rods or stock

I'm gonna turbo my m42 and can't decide if I should get new rods from metric mechanic or just use the stock ones.

A lot more information is needed to even begin to have an opinion.

Stock rods are fine. The only reason to go to aftermarket rods is if you want to lighten them and raise the revs. Stock rods will take more boost than you can put on the car.

new bearings at a minimum. if i ever do another turbo, given appropriate funding, i would probably do forged rods. just an opinion here tho.
