    supercharger opinions?

ok I want to go supercharger. after drifting and driving some turbo cars I descided that I wanted to go with the belt driven super charger.
Because of the instant power, and response, and level power curve.

before I start saving for this can you guys give me a general opinion, and numbers I can shoot for with a m50 (vanos).

I'm new to forced induction and I've done a bit of research on it, but I'm still a novice.

    what charger is good?
    what are my cost options?
pros and cons over the different types of forced induction?

your opinion over the entire matter?

This e30 will be a drift whore, and a hill climb car when I get approved in the local scca to run time attack, after I find another daily, and I have a m52 I could use when/if this one blows

oh and I love the supercharger whine, I know the blow off sounds great and all, but thw whine is sick to me.
You have Honda = I talk shit

I'd stick with a turbo. Mainly for seeking more power down the track.
I've heard a lot of instances where people supercharged their m50's and want more power and change their whole setup to a turbo just to save the complications of intercooling and changing pulleys everytime you want to up the boost.
Unless your certain that you will stay low boost and will never feel the need for more boost then turbocharging is the way to go.
There are a lot of drift cars out there that turbo charged. Most of them are in fact.
Plus the sound from a long screamer pipe when getting on boost is the best sound you could ever hear from a car IMO.

m50s don't produce all that much more power then an m20 when boosted. If you want more low end torque then swap out the bottom end from an s52. They can usually be had for pretty cheap once the head cracks. While youir swapping out the bottom end you can put a new headgasket and studs. You should be able to do do all that for around $500.

so basically you have an s50 when you do that? and would you need to beef up the head a little? and a chip or software of some sort to make it run decent? so a little more than 500 eh?
