    s52 freshen up

what should be done to an s52 if i am going to turbo route? I just dropped in my engine but I'm thinking it would be a good idea to pull it and do a rebuild on it. What are the most necessary components to replace so it will be able to withstand roughly 350-400hp?

If you want to tear the engine down.
Best thing to get is new rings, bearings, seals. Get the block and head decked. And de-glaze the cylinders with a light hone.
Something simple you could do yourself at home is while the head is off. Pour water down intake and exhaust ports while the valves are closed and check of any water is seeping through the valves seats if it isn't then you know your valves are fully shut properly. Obviously do each side at a time while the head is on its side.
