Well I finally got the Turbo E30 running real smooth and strong but my innovate MTX-l gauge is cutting out at 4.5k no matter if I'm in boost or vacuum. The gauge will reset and the say HTR for a second and then comeback to life. It is wired into the stock O2 sensor wiring harness and works fine for cruising but when Its really needed it cuts out on me.
any advice? I've tried grounding it somewhere else(strut tower) and there was no improvement at all. Do I need a new power source that's less noisy or something?
I have no good pictures of that area but this picture shows my O2 harness is running right next to my passenger side strut tower and the wires are actually running on top of my coil(about .5" away)
