    ebay turbo exhaust manifolds

hey guys, ive heard there are two versions of the m20 equal length turbo manifold on ebay with the main difference being wall thickness, anyone have any specs/experience with them? thanks

I haven't seen a thicker variant of the ebay 6-2-1 equal length manifold. There are two ebay manifolds however. The first being 6-2-1 and made of thin stainless tubes and no wastegate provision, and the second is non-equal length 6-1, thicker material, and has a 38mm wastegate port.

If you can show me a link to the thicker 6-2-1 i would forever grateful. ;)

The one that's non equal length with WG port is cool because it clears stock oil cooler and A/C.

these two i believe are the ones, they were pointed out to me years back as being different i believe. the title pics havent changed since then, i think this is the weaker one http://www.ebay.com/itm/88-91-BMW-E3...sories&vxp=mtr

and this one the stronger, this one has a 1 year warranty.. wasnt able to find that on the first one.

also, im installing this on an e34, was thinking about flipping the manifold and doing it tradtional witht the turbo down beside the block.. any forsee any problems with doing it that way? thanks.

The gasket fits perfect with no port matching needed, you can hold it up to an OEM gasket or the head and see how well it fits.

It clears everything perfect, waste gate placement is nice and clears my 3" downpipe. I reach full boost in 2nd gear with Holset H1c by 3k rpms.

If i had to do it again I buy this manifold in a heart beat.

I was almost convinced not to buy it, until you said that!
                    haha

How long have you been running it for?

Cars only been up and running for a month but I couldn't be happier. dont listen to the emotechers who have no experiance with it and just bad mouth ebay all day for no reason. There was no slag of any kid and all pipe transitions are smooth. I'm also using the CXracing intercooler and it was also a nicely made piece.

How's the build quality and thickness of the tubing?

My problem is I have a center mount turbo and Idk how that will mount.

Sell it and by a traditional one. I'm sure someone with a m21 manifold would love to have it for the extra valve cover clearance. What turbo do you have?

i recently installed this manifold, some issues with oil cooler lines and oil filter being in the way but once u figure that out the manifold is awesome and worth getting, but use ur own manifold gasket, not the one that comes with, ive only had it on for 3 months and its already falling apart, leaking and needs replaced, im going back to the stock gaskets..
