    what turbo for m20b25?

    hi there guys.

i was looking into turbos the other day.

and it dawned on me i wasnt sure what turbo i should run.

i want to stay away from the common t3t4 to4e that people here run on everything.

my thoughts were to go with a gt35 .63a/r turbine and about a .70a/r compressor.

    the other option was a td06 20g t3 flanged.

the motor will be m20b25, mls hg, arp stud kit, balanced internals, lighten flywheel, spec stage 3 clutch, mild cam, turbo adapter, fmic, 2.5" cooler piping, 3" exhuast, 38mm gate, boost kept to 12psi max, getrag260, 4.1 diff eventually, and not sure yet if ill go blow through miller maf or standalone with map.

im not all that familiar with some of the turbo part numbers you seem to use.

im familiar with the garret type range. t25, gt2871rs gt30, gtx3078rs, gt35, ect ect
    also familiar with the td0 range. td04h, td05 8g,16g,20g,22g td06 16g,20g ect ect ect.

if you could compair anything to those that would be great. it works easier in my head to compair it to what i know.

    thanks, leigh

This is the one that I'm running now

It would be great idea for your setup

I'm boosting it over 1 bar and it pulls perfect

I'm not sure why you would want to run a 4.10 diff with a turbo engine on a m20. Besides, everyone here runs a Holset nowdays!

For 12 psi you can use a blow dryer.

i tried. but the inverters kept dying. and i couldnt find and extension cord long enough to get me from home to work.

and other than that. have you every tired dealing with a missus after shes gone to do her hair after shes had to remove her hair drier from under the bonnet of a car? its like trying to tell a hungry pitbull that he doesnt accually need that nice cow bone.

thats not too bad. is there anything else done to the motor other than the turbo hanging off the side of it?

                    I think a gt35 is a bit overkill for 12lbs. Maybe a gt30

i havnt found a gt30 in t3 flange. that doesnt mean i cant get it.

and 12psi is almost 1bar. im just saying 12psi because i know the motor is going on handle that safely. if the motor can take more. then we will give it more.

they seem quite well sized to suit. but i can get gt35's here cheep and they are ment to be good. not a rubbish item made in china. but when the time comes i might spend the extra money to get the better turbo.

id say id run the antisurge 4" intake front housing if i got the t3 6262
