Does R3V want a m20 supercharger kit?

Im trying to design a reliable compact, bolt on centrifugal vortech v9 system that will have boost at low rpm and waste excess pressure to hold steady at 8 psi. E.g. 12 psi pulley tuned inline with waste gate to hold 8psi but obviously quicker spool up. I want this to be daily driveable be setup properly once and forgotten it was even there.

I think they make whats called a bleed off valve similar to a wastgate but is similar to a Bov in design, it will vent pressurized air into the atmosphere at a certain psi to prevent overboosting. However that said a supercharger is very easy to control boost by itself with the adjustment in the diameter of the pulleys so I see no point.

Maybe you could use a blowoff valve like the turbo fellas use. Idk about centrifugal charger setups.

If I put a smaller pulley to spool the compressor quicker. Is there such thing as a cut off valve to stop it going past 8 psi?

    That's some tech1 goodness.

I have p/s working properly and the ac is still there, I just need to come up with a pulley to drive it. I'll get motivated when it gets hot. My tb is before the charger and leaves me wanting nothing. It's how most OE s/c configurations are.

Its going in my convertible, and from what ive read so far im not keen on relocating the TB before sc. I want to keep P/S AND A/C . I want it to look like its ment to be there. Im sure I can get it all to sing nicely with miller gear ;)

I have an eaton m90 on my m20b25 making 7psi non-intercooled on 93 octane and MS2. It is absolutely perfect (in my opinion, cause I built it). Check the build link in my sig. Go get it!

Edit: Why not use a centrifugal charger? Because it's way too much like a turbo in the way that it makes boost. Roots is always making boost. I have 3psi by 2000rpm and almost 4psi by 3000rpm. 7psi peak at 5000rpm. I still have a smaller pulley for the m90, but I'm skeered to doit.

I really want this sc shit to happen. Im currently tossing up between a dbilas itb setup with a miller MAF/WAR chip combo or ftw sc with miller gear.... ive got fabricators here in australia that could design a complete custom inlet manifold to house a sc maybe air to air maybe air to water intercooling which ever works best with all the factory vacume piping provisions. Check him out fucking sssick work comes from this bloke. shauns.customalloy@facebook.com may be a stupid question but why not a centrifugal sc but a roots type? I wana get this happening because if we build a rock solid system people gonna throw money for kits to be made and its better than fucking around with turbos.

I just found that pic with internet wizardry when looking at options before, not sure whos setup but it is a short nose m62 not a m90.

You can tell he used a m50 pulley and got rid of his ac and ps pulley because the serpintine belt for the charger is back far enough to allow for the stock fan. This would be the correct budget method instead of custom pulley $$ + stock fan removal. I am old and wanted to keep the ps and ac as-is.

This is the part where I post a teaser pic of the new pulley mounted.

    sexy m90 pulley

It has been an odd year but progress goes like that sometimes.

I plan on cramming an m90 down in there just above the stock alternator location. A tight squeeze for sure.

I think I will try to keep the boost pipe facing down, towards the engine, but the problem is the intake is now also facing the BACK of the car, so both will have to go under the unit so it doesnt look incredulously redic. I had the intercooler planned for the front driver high beam but I might try a different route due to pipe city- maybe top mount+scoop wrx style?

Anything is possible/ what is our problem link: http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/201...superchargers/
