    bov question

    Hi,

I'm wondring if my bov location is suitable or not?

as I've heard some people saying it should be far away from the intake and mine is pretty close to the intake manifold :???: going down to the IC

    Any help?

If you are REALLY worried about it, run 2 BOV's, one at each end of the charge piping

as close to the TB as possible. is the best. if your running blow through maf then you need to be before that and far enough away that the air disturbance doesnt mess with the maf.

the reason for getting it close to the TB is because thats the direction the air is flowing. so it makes sense to have it there and to continue it flowing in that direction. does it not? it stops the air trying to turn back on itself. this helps to reduce compressor surge also. of course all this is in a perfect world. in the world of cars and mechanics things are not always are as they seem. there is always exceptions and differences. but what ive said before ussually works well for a rule of thumb.

I'm running a map sensor so only the pipe from the TB to the intercooler with the bov very close to the TB
