    Quick question

    Hey guys,

    I have a small question

I'm about tuning my car using Apexi S-AFC, do the increase in boost affects the tune? I mean, I want to tune my car on 8psi for now, then rise it up to 1 Bar, do I need to retune it again for the 1 bar?

If you dont want to you dont need to per say re tune it.
If longevity is your goal and power than I say yes.
Based on your question I hope you hired a tunner?

tune it for 1bar and turn it down to 8psi. its much much much safer and you only have to tune once. the car might just run abit rich on 8psi if its tuned for 1bar

I don't have boost cut, car wont be able to be boosted over 9-10psi, so I decided to tune it now without the boost cut @ 8psi then go 1 Bar

Seems to be that I need to tune it twice :(

            Don't listen to post 3 or 4.

safc will look at MAF/MAP values and adjust accordingly. Because it's tuned for 1bar does not mean it will throw the same amount of fuel at 8psi. However, if you don't have any more fuel ramp up from 8psi to 15psi you will be squirting the same amount of fuel across 8-15psi. NOT GOOD. You will have the whole map tuned except for 8-15psi, so what's the big deal to tune that? Just do a few 3rd gear runs and make adjustment accordingly. You can roughly figure out what fuel will be at 1bar-- about double of 100kpa values, go a little on the high side and take fuel away, it will be safer that way. If your AFRs get to lean, get off and add fuel. you're talking about such a small portion of the map to re-tune I don't know why it would be a big deal.

How are you handling timing? Any meth/alky injection? have an intercooler? What injectors do you have?

Nothing for controlling timing, yeah it's inter cooled, 450cc injectors

I decided to wait until I get the boost cut in, then tune it for may be 1 Bar or more and that's it

              Thanks guys,
