Set yourself a lower power target, e30leigh is correct on not jumping the gun and aiming for big power. Imagine how fun your car would be with just an extra 100hp. These cars are light and the suspension is designed for handling, not hooking up with big power.
Most e30 guys start pushing 400hp after years of owning the car, gaining experience driving their cars in boosted form. They usually end up improving the setup in stages when they're bored of 250whp, 300whp, 350whp.
Say you wanna make 280whp-300whp, your just gonna need:
-arp head studs
-stronger clutch
-injectors/tuning/wideband (pm whodwho)
-3" exhaust system
And obviously all the other bits attached to turbocharging a car e.g turbo, manifold, intercooler/piping, bov etc.
Some things I should mention, obey Otis' words about stock fuel pump handling 400hp, he has probably one of the most powerful e30's out there, nobody here has his sort of experience he knows what breaks and what lasts.
Also o-ringing the block is only needed when your pushing 400whp+. If your blowing head gaskets with less power than that then there is something wrong with your tuning not your head gasket. Just replace your head gasket when you do your studs and you shouldn't have a problem. As long as you don't buy the victor reinz brand gasket and your tune is good.
Revshift are probably the only guys that make a good quality turbo manifold for the m20 these days. Sadly there is a long waiting time for those at the moment so this gives you some googling time to learn what a catch can does, what parts to buy, a general understanding which parts go where, how they work and how to maintain them. Don't be tempted into buying ebay junk only their intercoolers are satisfactory.
Thats a little info to get you started on planning your setup, keep reseaching and I'm sure within a few months you will feel comfortable in tackling this project.
Good Luck

an oil catch can is basically a can that has lines fed from the valve cover,(bungs/ niples w/e u call it welded in it) to it, when boosting the oil pressure rises and some goes to the can, (that allows pressure under boost to escape your motor and the oil goes into the catch can and then drains back into the block via the line going to the block) os sandwich adapter.Leave a comment:

LC-1 wideband will be just fine - I've had no issues with mine for a year plus. Get the one you like more. They are both great.
You need to PM whodwho before you get MS. He is the one who will sell it to you. Blueapplesoda also sells PNP MS.Leave a comment:

I believe blueapplesoda builds megasquirts as well.
Catch can runs from crankcase vent to intake. google.
A tune is the most important part. Theres a guy on e30tech thats hitting over 400hp/tq on a bone stock m20 with 20 or so psi. and take it to a pro for the tune. Ive been holding myself from turning the boost up and attempting to tune myself but i know id fuck something up. fuck patience.. but its worth not breaking somethingLeave a comment:

yes, listen to these people. Also, if you don't already have a wideband, get the AEM UEGO NOT the Innovate LC-1. For injectors, 500cc might be a bit small - 60lb/hr injector would better fit your HP goals.
You can play with the calculator here. Fuel pressure is 3.5 bar/52 psi

Im still in the holiday spirit. Don't tune it, run as much boost as you can, I want to watch some more fireworks!!! :)Leave a comment:

I am guessing this car isn't your DD...so a few more weeks/months to do it right should be worth it.
I have commented in a few of your other threads. You NEED tuning. You have to have a nice tune. Get megasquirt. PM "whodwho" here on r3v and get talking to him. He has a very nice PNP system that you can use.Leave a comment:

I've completed more than 1 year putting things together correctly although the engine is in and o-ringed and everything ..
Be patient, READ and LEARN what are you doing, don't waste your time and mind asking silly questions, do it right (perfect) or stay away of turbosLeave a comment:
