Had a dream I glazed my clutch..

Has anyone ever glazed a clutch? How did it happen? In my dream some mexican did a cookie in a dirt parking lot and shot rocks at my car. He then took off and i followed. I dont have the 500 break in miles on my clutch and when i stepped on the gas it revved and the car didnt move.. Its a segmented kevlar clutch.

    lolnightmare

EDIT:Can someone move this to the driveline section? sry

think about it like overheating your brakes.

How did you break in the clutch? How much torque does your car have, and what is the clutch rated to?

Still breaking the clutch in. First 500 miles staying under 3000 rpm. Car has 200hp/tq and this is the clutch

      Stage 3

Mainly asking because ive never had any experience with it, it wasnt cheap and i would rather not have to replace it. Should be good for some hard launches, right?

yes, but you need to make sure to not do hard launches or warm it up a lot. Even slipping the clutch for a long time can be bad. I wouldn't fully avoid 3mph traffic, but it probably wouldn't be the best thing to do if you're rough on the clutch.

Be sensible. I don't really see RPMs being a factor unless you're shifting up there.
