    E85 on S50 FI E30/E36: Problems, solutions

    Hi guys,

Really want to supercharge my E30 S50 or pick up an E36 M3 and blow that too.

I was just wondering what the complications are with E85 and older BMW's: can the fuel system/lines of an E30/E36 handle E85 without corroding away? I know I'll need some sizable injectors with good flow overhead, but will I also need an upgraded fuel pump?

Will I also need a flex fuel sensor?

If anyone has knowledge of E85 for these cars, let me know. Really curious to see what the obstacles in running E85 on an SC S50 are. ;)

You'll definitely gonna have to get a higher flowing fuel pump, fuel lines and larger injectors. I don't know about flex fuel sensor but your gonna have to retune your motor as e85 takes about 40% more fuel and would require more timing advance to make the most out of that higher octane rating.
