    M50 NV Crankshaft Endplay

    Hi guys,

I started to assemble my engine, here is a briefing about the engine:

    1- BMW M50 NV 2.5 (forged internals with 3.0L crank "M54B30" and 84.5 pistons).
    2- ARP Main/Head studs.
    3- Holset HX52
    4- E100 Fuel.
    5- Target boost = 2.5Bar

Anyhow, last night I cleaned the block and placed the new bearings (Stock size) and crank (polished) and tightened it for the required clearance (0.05mm), I checked everything, but I noticed that I have kind of crank endplay, if I move it by hand in and out you can hear the metal click, I measured it using my dial indicator and found to be 0.12mm, and measured it on the rotation it gives around 0.02-0.03mm, so does this sounds OK or not! am not comfortable with the endplay since the parts hit each other when you push the crank specially that this engine will see big amount of boost.

    Endplay:

    Rotation:

    Thanks in advance :)
