    Wastegate issues

At idle i can feel exhaust coming out of my dump tube. I thought that my wastegate was probably stuck open, but it will build boost when i get into it. I took it off the car and it was closed like it should be. Any suggestions on something i can do?

What kind of wastegate are you running? Tial? Is the top port seeing vacuum?

Did you buy the wastegate brand new and rebuild it? Did you make sure to put the valve seat in it?

It's some ebay 44mm. The top port isnt getting any source of vacuum. The previous owner bought it new, and i bought it with the rest of the kit. But now that you mentioned it, i dont recall the valve seat being there.

        What is "some ebay 44mm"?

Some have valve seats you need to put in that some people don't or put in backwards like
        the hks one.

The wastegate is 44mm and off of ebay, just another knockoff. It is missing the valve seat altogether. Are valve seats universal? I know if it is tial, then it SHOULD go in a tial, but could i put it in mine and be ok?

I have a ebay 38mm that a friend gave to me. Picked up a tial 38mm seat and it fit perfectly. I don't see why it would be any different for the 44mm.

The 44mm v-band flanges are different.

Sorry forgot to add that I was talking about the 38mm fire ring fitting an eBay gate.
