This is what I'm running, it's a manifold from the 2006 Dan Pinder manifold group buy, with an external WG provision added on and some extra weld around the flange. I feel like this is what the 1st gen CX racing manifolds are based on. I haven't had any fitment issues other than trying to make this fit with iX mount arms/strut towers.
The 2nd gen CXracing manifolds with the WG provision are probably easier to fit, but they look like shit in regards to the poor excuse for a collector, and attempt at equal length.Leave a comment:

Split pulse and fairly decent size ports. Remember the m21 boost 13psi stock. Many people boost 18psi on them in europe. There are quite a few m20 people making over 400whp on these manifolds with a Holset mated to them.Leave a comment:

were do most people add a wastegaste port on the 2nd turbo manifold. anyone have any picsok, the neverending question :D
which manifold design is ''better''. I know that these e-bay manifolds is crap, they crack, also that they will not fit bolt on, etc.
which of these manifolds will clear oil filter and/or oil cooler lines?
and which manifold have better turbo locating, so I can easier get to spark plugs etc, I understand that it depends on turbo size, but yeah.

edit: ok, this won't clear oil filter+oil cooling lines, but how about euro engine brackets (aluminum ones)

I can say that top one is a freaking joke..
Second one is good. You need to rotate the filter to clear the lines because it's
a tight fit but they clear.
Use good bracing on the turbo flange because it will crack.Leave a comment:

Yeah, you're right I'm sorry.
When I was on the prowl for a manifold I just didn't want to make the mistake to buy something that needed slotting/modifying/welding/extras, so I researched endlessly with revshift being the scapegoat till they announced they stopped production, then settled with CXr after personally seeing the fit quality.
Haha so it felt personal since I didn't want someone else making a mistake/regret/spend.
And I worded that wrong I think. Holes had to be slotted/enlarged to match the head.Leave a comment:

Separate the banks and it fits nice. You can't weld? then get what
suits you. ;)
What did the forums guys dremal to make fit?
The crx was made to keep stock oil cooler it looks like and/or have a wastegate flange.

I'm using this manifold now instead of the new cx racing manifold and this one requires you to cut the flange in half for it to fit but it has great turbo placement and spools nicely.Leave a comment:

Is probably the least efficient "best" manifold.
Have you used it?
The one you just posted is TOTAL crap.
Fits like shit. 3 guys who are using it on this forum all said they had to cut/dremel to make it fit and it has no WG provisional.
Made of the same quality as the "new" one that fits 100% on the account of myself, kamotors, orcgrinder, cronopulos, and more
The only thing it's got going for it is possible equal length and 3-1 collectors.
Think of what engine this came off of lol. Flows the worst for his goals.
