M50 vs M20.. for boost. whats your opinion?

Hey guys, I am starting to think about engines... that best part of the project right? I love boost, and have decided that is the route i want to go, i will do a full rebuild rods, pistons, cam, port head, etc.... The question is in the end.. which one will be better? Is it even worth to buy the m50 and then build, swap, boost it? Or am i fine with the m20? What are the + and - of them both?
    Thanks ahead of time.

M20 = cheaper, easier, more reliable
M50 = higher hp capabilities, better fuel economy

i pretty much "know" i wanna do the m20, but i mean what does the m50/52 have to gain that i might want in the future?
Personally dont see the point of spending money on a swap when both engines are going to be built...

Although one benifit i can think of off the top of my head is the m engines come with the chain already:)

Better economy and more capable than an m20 as Nigel mentioned.
More displacement than an m50, forged crank and rods factory(idk if the m50 is the same), thicker walls in between cylinders so less probability of a HG going and room enough for O-rings, and priced pretty much the same as an m50.
Also 24v is backed up by so many tuning solutions check bfc.

Since yours going through the motor, it's as reliable as you make it.

Because of you're going to re-build with forged parts..

                    M20M2? + PERFECT tune + BOOST = BIG WIN

You'll never feel that you want more than M20!

A stock M52 with a thicker headgasket and ARP's can handle 400rwhp all day long. No need to rebuild, plus you get the benefit of better gas mileage will not in boost.

                        Even a stock m20 or m50 with MLS+ARPs can handle 400whp ..

I'm surprised no one has yet!

But I personally wouldn't see a point as I will be rebuilding either the m20/m5x... So what's the point I buying a $2500? S50 then to tear it open and spend much more $$$$
