Ive had the m30b34 in the e30 for about 5 years now
Its had a hard time and started using oil so its time to come out for a rebuild

    Plan for engine:
    Get crank ground
    new bearings for bottom end
    bore and hone block
    reuse stock rods
    low comp forged pistons
    block decked
    fully balanced assembly
    head skimmed
    cam regrind
    heavy duty valve springs
    billet rockers
    rocker stoppers
    mls gasket
    arp head studs
    garrett gtx35r
    top mount manifold
    custom front facing plenum
    80mm universal throttle body

Motor is out of car and ready pulled apart
Will post some pics soon as its getting some mtech1 goodies as well...:)

Wasted or sequential spark with msd coil packs?
8.0:1 or 8.5:1 comp on the forgies?

Your ECU choice will answer the first Q.
Your boost/HP/fuel will answer the second.

I wouldn't go lower then 8.5:1, off boost driveability will suffer. I don't know the stock CR of the M30 but depending on you HP goals and what fuel your using you could go higher then 8.5:1.

Going with a Haltech Platinum Sport 2000 ECU
Not sure on how much boost yet
Hoping for minimum of 400whp on e85 fuel

Being that its an m30 I wouldnt say it will suffer. Stock is 8.0 but if it were me id go 9.

Like I said I wasn't sure of the CR of the m30, Its all good though. Since he's using e85 id definitely go 9:1 and crank the boost up. Should make some insane torque.
