Crank Position Sensor Blow My HG?!?

So I posted a thread while back about my m20 Turbo pushing the HG on Number 3 cylinder in the same fashion more than once. I have since replaced the HG and quit driving the car until weather came around and I finally got out to start the car up and it would hardly start/run for a few seconds. I checked spark and fuel and all seemed ok.

I Had a used CPS (Crank Position Sensor) and threw it in, And it at least started the car but when I went to take it out it Immediately started miss firing! So I ordered a NEW OEM CPS and car fired right up and is running awesome!! The car used to cut out and would make you suspect fuel cut or spark blow out occasionally but i'm wondering if it could had been the CPS on its way out?

I blew the headgasket Twice at 120mph under full boost (10psi). I am wondering if under a heavy load/boost and high speeds the crank position sensor was shitting the bed and causing the car to detonate! I am slacking on pulling my timing and fuel maps from megasquirt but i will attach those to this thread soon once i retrieve them just to have a few of you who are fimiliar look them over. I understand there are tons of things this issue could be but I have been through the car several times and have many things to still do to make the car solid in my eyes but I am just curious If anyone has had any experience or comments on the topic!

    Thanks Guys!
    Happy Monday:yawn:

My stock M42 was crapping out at 5500rpm - I threw in a new CPS & problem solved.
