Holset hy35 on m20?

I had a volvo 940 that recently sold i wanted to throw this on but now its just sitting in the garage. It has a 9cm exhaust housing on it. Would this turbo choke the motor at higher rpms? Aiming for a modest 300hp

You will hit 300hp no problem

See the blue line - that's 3, 3.5,4 and 5 are 6 & 7K rpms
30 lbs/min = 300 hp at the crank 5000 rpm at 17.4 psi

What will happen is you will want more and decide to upgrade the turbo. At that point you turn up the boost because you are power hungry and immediately blow the head gasket. After beating yourself up a bit you will rip into the motor and upgrade the rods, pistons, and everything else that can fit on your credit card. It doesn't stop because as soon as you build a 600whp monster you become so skilled at changing the differential, that when you blow the transmission you simply laugh and remember this question about a little HY35.
