how much can the stock fuel line support??

Can anyone tell me how much hp the stock lines can support. I dont mean the pump, i already have a 255lph which i know wont support it so i plan on upgrading to a 340 from aeromotive. Will the 5/16 line support 600 hp? Thanks.

Stock fuel lines will handle anything a 255 can produce. 255 though, will come up well short of 600

the aeromotive 340 should defiantly make it past 600. I cant think of anyone yet who has fit one in a stock e30 tank.

Stock e30 hardlines have made over 600

Yea I was looking at those too. I think it should fit like the 255, but I have not done it yet. I am building a turbo s52 (with gt35r)

Anyone out there use one yet?

hey, im using a aeromotive 340 in my m52 turbo car and it just made 550hp on the dyno. mine is a 318is if that matters on the size of the fuel line. im using injector dynamics 1000cc injectors and the tuner said I had plenty of fuel left to go for more. but I was having boost creep problems so I had to stop. anyway the pump fit fine but I had to trim the bottom of the hanger a little and use a hose clamp to mount it. also you should use a relay from the battery with 10 gauge wire so you don't overload the stock wiring.

Just use a heavy duty relay and use the stock fuel pump wire as the trigger wire to turn the relay on. also its a good idea to put a inline fuse between the bat. and relay. Its really simple, you should be able to google it and find some good diagrams. I mounted mine behind the rear fender liner right above the battery to keep it out of sight and to keep the wiring short as possible.
