    325i vert going turbo

I'm going to start a build thread very soon, but I am finished with interior and have everything but Euro bumpers for the 87 325i vert exterior. It's now time to boost.

My goal is just a bit more power and very little lag, about 7-9psi of boost, while retaining daily driver reliability, and a very simple turbo system.

    So far I've got:

    - Comp Turbo T3 (info below)
    - Begi RRFPR ($80)
    - Racing Pro's Turbo Chip for ECU ($50)
    - Tial knock off wastegate ($40)
    - Bigger Injectors (free, have 3 different lbs 19/24/30 i think )
    - Small ebay intercooler (free)
    - New timing belt kit (tensioner, waterpump, thermostat, etc) ($80)
    - Upgraded to late cooling system (radiator, silicone hoses, coolant reservoir, etc) ($150)
    - New stock engine/tranny mounts ($35)
    - New spark plug wires/spark plugs ($40)
    - New guibo for driveshaft ($40)
    - Redline fluids (maybe $50)

Maintenance is taken care of except headgasket and manifold gaskets

    My questions:

I have a Comp T3 turbo ($200) on it's way to manufacturer to get rebuilt ($200 more) for a sick deal since my buddy just bought a brand new T3 from them at same time. They will rebuild to my liking and give me all specs of this turbo, but for the time being, I am now ready to purchase the rest of the turbo kit.

Keep in mind I want this to be simple, spool quickly and reliable.

    To buy:

    - Metric blues / Stock HG kit ($60)
    - OBX Manifold adapter / 524 manifold (opinions? $300)
    - Innovative MTXL Wideband (found used for $150 with boost controller below, link http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTXL.php )
    - Greddy Profec B Spec 2 Boost Controller ( $175 link http://www.tunersports.com/greddy-pr...209_p4574.html )
    - Oil feed/return lines (dunno)
    - Custom 3 inch exhaust (local exhaust shop)
    - downpipe (ebay/forums?)

Does anyone see anything that I am missing, or that is over complicating my turbo build? Other suggestions for manifold, or anything that might be worth adding to this list for reliability? Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

As much as I considered going WhoDWho MS, and ARP/MLS, SETA block, stage 3 clutch, etc... I just don't want to spend all that money on this set up, and I have a 91 Audi CQ that I've converted to an S2 I will be turboing for my serious HP needs. This vert e30 is for summer/weekend cruising with a little more power than stock.

Metric blues have been said to be weaker than stock head studs. I'd go with arp just for peace of mind. Technically if you are not going to run more than 12 psi you don't even need head studs. For as simple as your setup looks to be I would just go with a manual boost controller that, I have a greddy profec I like it but it would be overkill for someone not running more then 15psi on any car. Depending on the actual specs of your turbo will determine it's spooling time. T3 would be it's flange size. So I'm assuming it's going to be a 57mm turbo. Depending on A/R size I would guess youll see boost around 3200-3600 rpm.

Where does the chip come from? I guess it uses the OEM AFM?
