You'd be quite inept to pay someone for tuning.
Begi a super EZ thing to tune.

    Begi is fine.
Reliable, meant for low boost, no real tuning, but price it out.
    Not allot cheaper then megasquirt.

You really should not turbo then, There was a guy on here that did a budget junkyard build but it was far from ideal, on a rusted e30. If you cant afford ms, then how do expect to afford a decent turbo, injectors, the custom exhuast, paying someone to tune the monotronic system, and not to mention the need to for a stronger clutch?

stock air meter will not know boost.
Only reason u need to adjust is because of using bigger injectors will have
a terrible AFR if not done.

You need a begi to control fuel pressure when boost hits.
    It's a fuel pressure regulator.

    That's a freaking joke. Like it's 1998
Megasquirt is thousands of times a better
    value.

Price out a chip and begi post back.

there are some people out there that will stand by the motronic turbo setup, while it doesnt offer all the cool tuning abilities it is proven to work. and based on budgets is still a viable option.

It could be done, but its a rudimentary way that takes alot of time to get right. The issue with the stock management system is that it has no way of sensing boost or vacuum. Go with Ms.

I am in the same train of thought. I will prob holler at sssquid and see if he offers a compatible boost chip for the 2.7i setup boosted. I am sure he will need specifics such as the current a/f ratio and the psi being utilized.

I don't think you can get AFM or motronic to register boost. I believe all you can do is monitor a/f ratio and adjust the fuel with a rrfpr or something. The AFM doesn't measure mass of air. Then again I have never done any tuning to try and make the change. Most people either accept that motronic will not register boost and adjust fuel manually or go aftermarket management and delete the AFM anyway. Someone else chime in

    Stock i AFM Handle Boost?

I am going to get my 2.7i project under way and was wondering if the AFM from the 325i can handle the boost and be programed accordingly or do I have to go another route?
