    Another final drive ratio thread

Basically I am looking for the 4 cyl guys to chime in but the m20/52 guys are welcome.
I have always run my turbo car with a 3.73 final drive. I find myself on a few tracks where third gear is too tall but second gear spins the tires and creates expensive smoke. I was thinking of putting a 4.10 in it and making third gear usable. But I also have a 2.93 that might extend the reach of 2nd gear.
Have any of you guys played with both ends of the spectrum?
I would hate to waste a track day playing "swap my rear" :)

I already have a gear ratio calculator. I'm looking to find out which is better. gear reduction vs longer time at boost. Besides I already know my car does 1 bajillion miles per hour in only 3rd gear :)

I really like my torsion 3.15 but I cant speak for track experience, 1st is unusable, 2nd is however.

Just make a note to treat 2nd as 1st. Mental dog leg.

Are you even reaching top speeds of your car on track?

Not as much power as you'd think. Daytona is basically a giant straight from the bus stop
