    I really should have gone standalone from the beginning, I heard many good things about TRM and figured that i would be happy with the tune out of the box but that doesn't seem to be the case here

    Replace ecu with a quality standalone setup and you can do actual tuning and real deal diagnostic all by yourself!
    413 DME will tell you "something's wrong" and that's pretty much it. A lot of time the codes an OBD1 computer throws are not even related to the problem your having.
    Nothing beats viewing live runtime values of every single wire in your engine bay from a laptop!

    *Note* My background is that I have a fully blueprinted S52 N/A race motor. (~320 hp at the crank) I originally was running it with a 413 DME and a TRM "custom chip".
    I had nothing but problems.
    After plugging in a Vipec ECU I picked up 25 whp on my first dyno run on just a base tune.
    After getting it tuned by Pavlotech, the car idles better, better power/torque curve, better gas mileage, runs cooler, and night & day difference in throttle response!

    In addition to all of that, I can now log everything in the ecu and review it at the end of the day.

    I wish i was closer to TRM so i could get a live tune, but this was a tuning package that included chip injectors and blow thru maf, im pretty sure trm knows what they are doing and i have only heard good things about their tunes so i dont want to put the blame on anyone until i know for sure its the tune i will update soon, i should be swapping the new chip over tonight

    Good deal. My gut feeling says the tune is off for your car. I have had experienced this many times with off the shelf chip tunes. One customer came in the shop with a similar situation. Using a completely stock file, I just changed the inj constant to match his inj size and the car ran flawlessly (out of boost, later dyno tuned it). Turbo cars really benefit from a live tune.

    I did contact trm their help has been iffy, I did contact jg teknik in branford CT they have been super helpfull so far offering me many suggestions and they have a spare chip their going to let me borrow to help diag also

    Do the injectors match the tune? Have you driven it off idle at all, or let it get to boost?

    A smoke test is the best way to find vacuum leaks.

    what other sensors does the ecu start to read once in closed loop? im guessing the coolant temp sensor tells the ecu to switch to closed loop and starts reading the 02 for fuel corrections, since i have a brand new 02 and the ecu is switching the coolant temp sensor im guessing is functioning correctly. only thing i haven't touched has been knock sensors and crankshaft position/cam position sensors
