So what are ur guys optionions?

Ok, so I've been thinkin, Im buying another Car, and my Bm is goin 2 be a weekend warrior.

So I'm thinkin of buildin up a Turbo motor.

I'm shooting for around 450 Crank HP.

Setup, I'm thinkin of M52B28 crank (served me well in N/A apps) and 85mm Forged Pistons. 138mm Rod length... CR around 9:1 or maybe go 2 stock BMW M20B25 CR 8.8:1 .

with the 84mm crank and 85mm pistons it gives u 2860cc

Think I'm prob gonna need 2 use forged rods aswell.

    Was thinking Garret GT3076r

Of course I'm gonna use standalone... and was thinking of the Local Sa company of Perfect power XMS, I also liked it cause it allows for flat shifting.

What I'm wondering is, do I need 2 re sleeve with something stronger ? I don't even know of anyone who makes a stronger sleeves ? maybe Darton ?

Now, here is something else... I have a book called Turbo Charging by Quorky Bell... I was reading in it he says, a great way 2 keep a car spooled up is 2 fit a throttle body 2 the front of ur turbo, and link it 2 ur other throttle body, so that when u shut the throttle, the Turbo spins in a Vaccum, hence no air 2 slow it down so when u get back on the gas u at full boost... Sounds like it could work.

I'm just thinking what if u at part throttle ? then the air going into the turbo is going 2 be a restricted? . Another thing is he says there is no need for a dump valve... which does make sense and also makes for a nice sleeper.

    What u guys think ?

Bleh, just noticed the spelling error in my title... whoops

Very interesting idea about that second throttle body.
I'm just wondering how it it going to be actuated...

i was thinking to hook it up to clutch pedal... so it's fully open with clutch out and fully closed with clutch in. problem is tat it might, eg, choke the engine durning, say 1st gear start... can abynody confirm ? you could have it juts barely open so the engine doesnt stall.. i dunno. what do you think ppl ?

That idea is worth exploring IMHO....

yo could acuate the tb with a vaccum servo... like on some cruise control systems.

I was thinkin of just having it hooked up 2 like an extended throttle cable... or something.

I'm so curious as 2 how this could work...
