The turbo is a Garett T3 .48/.60 (iirc). I was going to build an autocross friendly turbo car with a friend of mine but I decided I would be outclassed in every form of competition. It's not a big turbo by any means, but you could probably get 250-300hp on stock internals if you do it right. I'd let it go for $200, with a rebuild kit included.
I also have an Apexi SAFC-II piggy back system. There's some strange tweak to get it to work with the E30 but it is possible (see e30tech.com). Also $200.
The 524td manifold is the most common route people go when turboing an E30. The ports have to be widened a little using a Dremel and a stock 325i exhaust manifold, along with a notch having to be made to clear the head. $150
I also have a 1g DSM BOV (not necessary but would sound cool) $40.

other than that it seems like a good deal, except that I have no fucking clue how this stuff compares with other e30 compatible stuff. I've done no research on the turbo idea yet, and I'm new to e30's, the m20 motor, and this forum. and this will be my first turbo project. Really the offer popped up before I was ready.
I feel that this might be too good to pass up, please give me some opinions before I spend my money.
