    BOV stopped working...

Im not sure why but all of a sudden my blow off valve stopped working and my temp gauge is reading cold.

Does anyone know what would cause this? I looked at the hoses running to the BOV and didnt notice any irregularities. Thanks

What kind of BOV is it? i have no idea why the temp would read cold, I dont think thats related. For a really good answer I would post on e30tech.com, they have a ton of turnbo guys there.

Maybe a piece of dirt got in the valve, and it's not letting the valve move.

if bov- pull the mani line and suck on it, see if it holds vac

if idle valve, pull ou a multi meter and measure, 2wire will be on/off, 3 wire will have a pwm signal(wave), if you had a scope you could give it a look, if not you can check the signals the ecu uses to give f-idle, prob, closed tps, clt ect....
