ebay turbo kit?

I would think that should be a pretty solid kit, aside from the turbo itself.
I am halfway thinking about springing for one.

Only thing thats skeptical is that manifold. I wonder what kind of reviews people have from it? Seems like a awesome deal you really dont need much more to get a decent setup. Id do tcd chip, injecs, fuel pump, and if you can afford it ditch the motronic and go ms. But thats just me.Comment

Same manifold I was rocking on my old car. I bought mine when they were expensive and hard to get though.Comment

I was actually thinking of getting this kit also. When the turbo blows replace it with a t3/4 and external waste gate. Everything else seems pretty cool.Comment

i pretty much assembled that kit before it was a "kit". that manifold is solid. no leaks, its been bumped hit and twisted and still hasnt had a leak. the turbo spools a little laggy for its size (ebay durrrr), due to its heavy shaft/impeller/exducer, but it still makes good power. puts a smile on my face. i use it as a placeholder turbo until i am granted access to my dads gt30. cant wait for that.
for the price you cant go wrong. for fuel management, begi rrfpr seems to be fine for everyone up to 8-10 lbs. Im doing about 9 lbs on 17.5# injectors with a 10:1 fixed ratio FMU and i hit about 13.0 afr's around 6k, which is as lean as it will get. My afm is placed in fornt of the turbo. But megasquirt is next, along with larger injectors. i need total fuel control, no doubt.Comment

That turbo is too small. There is no fuel management, probably missing all the correct oil fittings. If I had to do this again. I would have done EVERYTHING the best that I was able to. Not worth going back a 2nd time.:: PNW Crew ::

For $1400 ($1090 for the kit + $310 for whatever comes up) it isn't worth going back a second time? You see people here that spend that on headers and an exhaust for a 10hp gain (if they're lucky). It seems to me this is the cheapest dollar per horsepower mod available.Comment
