    Turbocharging vanos questions

i know this has been covered many different times but im not getting clear information for certain situations.

Im going to buy a used m50 engine very soon and turbo it this winter, but idk if i should bother buying the vanos or non vanos engine...

Im not very knowlegeble when it comes to what is required at least for controlling fuel/ignition, plus with the addition variable cam timing + turbo without going overkill.
I would not like to have to spend big big $$ on some kind of engine managment sytem.(maybe 500-800 sounds reasonable i guess..but im sure thats going to restrict some of my capabilities, maybe i wont be able to control vanos with such a cheap system or something like that??).
Just going to be a DD street car for summer and put down about 350whp.

--I am going to get it tuned professionaly, so does that not make a difference whether i go vanos or not anyways, sense i dont gotta deal with "adjusting/tuning" it??

--is it a big hassle using the vanos system with a turbo??

--is it basically pointless to have a vanos engine if i plan on going turbo??

I know i have alot of questions, but this is my biggest dilemma right now thats holding me back from moving forward so i hope you guys can help clear some things up for me, Please be easy, im just looking for some help...

    Thanks alot,
    -Nick

If you can find somebody to remap the original ecu you should get the vanos engine, otherwise you can run the ignition and fuel on a standalone and let the original ecu control the vanos, you´ll have to wire in resistors to the original ecu to fool into thinking it´s controlling the injectors. probably same for the ignition.

Also you could run with a piggyback system,
