Looks like it's a garrett t3, does it have the trim stamped on it? Is it completely tight, ie no shaft play, looks clean in the cold side? I'd be tempted to sell it to a diesel guy, if I had any plans to turbo my diesel I might be interested. There are some good vw diesel forums around and I'm sure some mb ones as well.
Or you could probably build yourself a junkyardtastic turbo setup. Start looking for a 524td manifold!
