Running a VF supercharger and I’m 90% sure I can’t use the original intake without cutting out part of the shelf. I’ve seen some people use a combination of couplings and tubing to shorten up the intake length. But curious what others have done so I don’t have to cut up a good e30

I used a carbon intake tube made for an e36, they come in thermoplastic too.
I cut a 3.5" hole and mounted a passthrough tube where ABS would mount. My car doesn't have abs cause its an 84.
I had to use a 45" silicone reducer and it was a real tight fit but it worked.
the filter drops down in front of the wheel and its protected by fender liner. Pics dont really show what's happening but I hope it helps.
