    Oil Change Interval Reccs

With the addition of a turbocharger (M20B25) what are y'all running mileage wise for oil changes? I run 20W50 semi-synthetic and was previously running 5k oil changes N/A per Black Stone Labs recommendation when I sent an oil sample out. I suppose I could just send a new sample and get some data at 3k miles, but I was curious what kind of mileage everyone else is running.

2500ish on 20W-50 VR1. Might be overkill but oil is cheap.

Clearly it depends on your use case. A full synthetic should generally be safe for 7k these days, but the additive package isn't likely to be designed for the rather antiquated E30 designs.

I was running M1 in 20w-50, or 15w-40, depending on availibility/season. Quaker has some nice oils in one of their oils, but nothing "heavier" than 10w-30, which should technically work.

At last check VR1 had a light or zero detergent package, short interval would be key there.

Whatever the case, BitOG is the best reference I know of, even if it's not what it once was.

Thanks for all the reccs y'all, looks like I'm back to shortening the interval to 3k for now. I'll update the thread if blackstone has any insight for the turbo bois. Castrol GTX has been my go-to, at least N/A. We'll see how it holds up to the heightened turbo temps.
