    Yup. But the M10 rockers start a- poppin' about 6750 with stock valve springs
    if you try this.

    They pope soon thereafter.

    And yes BMW used old 1.5L m10 block with ass loads of miles on them for race engines.
    Theres a video that talks about it.

    Even a subaru wrc engine is based off a stock block but fitted with internal liners that cost a fortune, nothing original is kept inside a m12 block.

    Simply Bolt on a m12 head??? Not really happening; where does the dohc drive come from and dry sump?

    Also the cost of m12 set.........not for r3v mortals.

    The blocks were used ones, aquired from customers' cars. From BMW 1502s if memory serves.

    you do realize its pretty much an m10 that is de-stroked, has a dohc head, and boosted? with a little mod i bet you can drop that head on.

    just like saying the the s14 is not an m10 besides remnants of an iron casting...you can also drop that head on too with a little mod

    not that this thread is relavant anymore but...id remove the redline and see where you can r3v to without breaking shit everytime. the engines are a nickel for 2 dozen anyway.
